Where we work and what we build there
SwiftBrick Ltd is a Swindon building firm. We are based at Okebourne Park on the south-east side of town, we have been trading since 2009, and we work across the whole of Swindon and the villages around it. We are on Swindon Borough Council’s list of builders and contractors who regularly use local authority Building Control — which is where most of our extensions, structural alterations and conversions are inspected and signed off.
Swindon’s housing is varied and every type builds differently. Old Town’s Victorian and Edwardian houses and the railway terraces of Rodbourne and Gorse Hill need lime mortar, careful brick matching and properly engineered structural openings. The inter-war and post-war semis of Pinehurst, Penhill and Walcot suit side and rear extensions and loft conversions. The 1950s–80s estates of Park South, Eldene, Liden and Toothill are where most of our garage conversions and single-storey rear extensions happen. The newer estates of Haydon Wick, Abbey Meads and North Swindon want extensions that match modern brick and detailing exactly. We work in all of them.

Are you insured?
Yes. SwiftBrick Ltd holds £2 million public liability and £10 million employers' liability insurance, underwritten by U K Insurance Limited (Direct Line). Certificates are available on request, and we'll hand them over with your quote if you'd like to see them.
Is the work guaranteed?
Major projects can be covered by a 10-year insurance-backed guarantee, arranged through Peacock Insurance and underwritten by FCA-regulated insurers. An IBG means your guarantee still stands even if the company stops trading — which is precisely when an ordinary builder's promise becomes worthless. Most builders don't offer one. Ask for it when you get your quote and we'll set it out in writing.
What about Building Control?
All notifiable work is certified by Building Control. We don't consider a job finished until it's signed off, and you receive the documentation at handover.
