Home Close, Chiseldon
A new detached brick outbuilding in Chiseldon built as a proper room rather than a shed: concrete base, cavity walls in a facing brick matched to the house, a tiled pitched roof, then a window and door fitted to the openings they were built for, and a plastered, skirted room inside.

Timber garden rooms are quick, but a brick building on a proper base with a tiled roof is what the house next to it is made of, and that is what we build. The facing brick was chosen to sit with the house, and the openings were built to the actual frame sizes so nothing needed packing out.
Brickwork
Cavity walls off a concrete base, in a facing brick matched to the house, with the roof structure following straight behind.

Shell complete
Walls, black fascia and the tiled roof finished, with the window and door openings formed to the frame sizes.

Window, door and the room inside
An anthracite window and door fitted in September, gutter on, a gravel margin around the base, and inside: boarded, skimmed, skirted and floored, ready for the owner to make it theirs.

A room in the garden, built like the house
A brick garden building with a tiled roof, built on a proper base with cavity walls, closed in with a window and door that fit their openings, and finished inside as a room. External ground works were the last item.
