Hyde Road, Royal Wootton Bassett
A brick garden boundary wall on a modern estate in Royal Wootton Bassett, taken down and rebuilt in December 2025: the old wall out, a new concrete footing dug and poured, the wall rebuilt in blockwork with a facing-brick outer skin to match the estate, and the lawn put back.
The job in one look

- Where
- Hyde Road, Royal Wootton Bassett, Wiltshire
- When
- Dec 2025
- Done by
- SwiftBrick’s own team: excavation, footing, blockwork and facework, reinstatement.
A garden wall is only as good as what is under it. This one was rebuilt from a new footing rather than patched, so the brickwork above has something solid to stand on. The facing brick was chosen to sit with the existing walls on the estate, and the job was fenced off as it runs along a pavement and a neighbour’s drive.
Before and taking down
The existing wall, then the site fenced and the wall taken down.

New footing
A trench dug along the line of the wall and a new concrete footing poured.

Block and brick
Blockwork inner skin with a facing-brick outer skin, built off the new footing.

Finished and the lawn back
Wall finished, ground reinstated and the lawn relaid.

Built off a footing, not a patch
A boundary wall rebuilt properly from the ground up, in brick that sits with the estate, with the garden reinstated — finished in December 2025.
